BACK TO REALITY .......HEY MON'

I had an amazing time in Negril. I knew the drive would be far from the Montego Bay airport to Negril, however, the scenery was cool and the drive was fun. Our tour driver Alton had a great personality, but, half way to the resort the Jamaica Tours bus I was riding in broke down. Usually you would get mad and impatient...but, what can you possible get mad about? You're in Jamaica!!!! Yeah, mon!

Arriving at the resort finally.....I was very impressed. The resort RIU Club Negril is an excellent place to stay, the food is great, the drinks are great, the staff is great. Although I booked a standard room, it was still very nice and I asked for a location close to everything and as accomodated. I told the staff it was my birthday and they sent me my own bottle of wine to celebrate! Great service!

I was lucky enough to meet a couple of people on the plane to hang out with, so, that evening I went to a nightclub called the Rum Jungle -this is a must! Great music and it was PACKED! They played hip-hop, reggae and a little bit in between. The club stays open until 6am and when you get back to the resort there is a snack bar area that you can utilize if you have the munchies...wink..wink

If you don't want to leave the resort you really don't have to! The next day I laid out and perfected my chocolate "kinda" like tan, hung out at the beach bar and drunk Hummingbirds and ran around to other resorts to compare. RIU Club was definitely a great choice!

The pool that had a swim up bar was a great time! Other guest are always friendly...could it be the drinks.

Burbon Beach is a cool spot for listening to live reggae... I missed Alfred's Beach Party....but, I heard it was great.

This was a great birthday and well worth the trip. I just wished I could have stayed a couple more days.

NEXT STOP?????????? Costa Rica
